Seriousness has never fully grasped my book and I, yet one would surely call our connection a passionate hobby. In Year 9, I was given an assignment to write a 1000 word short story to be handed in for some sort of writing competition. Needless to say I didn't win (otherwise I would have a scholarship or some sort of fame by now), but it sparked a part of my creative nature which insisted I keep going. 1000 words is nothing to me now as the story encompasses near 200.000 words and many ideas which I have as jotted files somewhere on my computer or notes in my bedroom. And not all of that will end up in the book.
But I don't write to publish. I continue to write for my self satisfaction, for something to abide in when all the chores are done and the busyness of life is absent. My writings, this fictitious world which I have created, has been a constant in my life for the past several years, and whenever I have had the headspace or time to come back to it, it has been there, ready for me to expand, compound and explore. This story has had a similar effect as a journal or diary may have for you. Writing about parts of my own feelings and happenstances has helped me think about the real-life processes and consequenses.
Clicking either here or the Stranger To The Crowd link above will get you to the first chapter. I hold no obligation to you to even read this. It is merely there if you have an inkling or a desire to see more of my mind than what is present on this website. Or if you are interested in reading books by amateur authors who don't write for any audience in particular bar themselves.
So, if you've read this far and plan on continuing reading, enjoy. And if you are so inclined, I would love to hear your thoughts about it through my Contact page.
